Gavin Crouse, New Day Charter CHAMP captain 2025

3rd Year Captain · Grade: Junior

Gavin Crouse

Knowing that CHAMP successfully connects all the local schools and others to work toward the greater good is why it means so much to me. It's truly inspiring to have been involved in a group that has helped so many within our community over the past 12 years.

Kaitlyn Seville, New Day Charter CHAMP captain 2025

4th Year Captain · Grade: Senior

Kaitlyn Seville

CHAMP is important to me because so many people get together for a good cause and raise money for people in need. It is such an inspiring thing to be a part of. The past 12 years have been amazing and we have helped so many families that were in need and continue to help.

Advisors

The educators guiding this team.

Rena Banks, New Day Charter CHAMP advisor

CHAMP Advisor

Rena Banks

I'm a special education teacher at New Day in Huntingdon, where I also get to be a CHAMP advisor. I live with my husband Scott, our 11-year-old twins Addison and Landen, and our dog Ruby. We also have three adult kids: Casey, Hailey, and Ethan. I have a classroom corn snake named Lady Jane, who you can usually find snuggled in a student's sleeve keeping warm. I love being a CHAMP advisor because I get to see firsthand how teenagers in our county come together for one cause and put so much heart and hard work into helping people in our community.

Alex Veit, New Day Charter CHAMP advisor

CHAMP Advisor

Alex Veit

I'm Alexandra Veit, math teacher at New Day Charter School. This is my 2nd year as a CHAMP advisor. I love working with our students to raise money for a wonderful cause! Let's make this year another awesome one!
